Healthy Avocado Chocolate Fudge

The first time I made this fudge, my family and I ate it all in about three hours and my mom was asking me a couple of days later to make another batch because she loved it so much! It is so amazingly gooey and chocolately but the best part is how healthy it is. It contains many different essential fatty acids from the avocado, coconut oil, peanut butter and almonds and lots of powerful antioxidants from the raw cacao powder.

Let’s see how nourishing this fudge is for your body. The main ingredient is avocado, one of the healthiest sources of fats in nature. These fats are essential for beautiful skin and good heart function. Avocados are also rich in vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant vitamin that keeps cells young and hydrated. Eating avocados can also lower cholesterol and tryglyceride levels, this is important considering hearth disease is the most common cause of death in the world. Cacao powder is also very present in this recipe. As you may already know, cacao is truly a superfood. It has a higher concentration of antioxidants than any other food we know of! It is also a feel-good food that raises levels of neurotransmitters like serotonin and endorphins in the brain. Finally, it is one of the highest dietary sources of magnesium, which calms the nervous system and regulates heart rate. That’s why it feels so good to eat chocolate when we are stressed out. Just choose dark chocolate for more benefits or this delicious fudge!


2 ripe avocados
1 100g bar of dark chocolate (I used 85 % but feel free to use 60 % if you are not used to the taste of dark chocolate)
1/2 cup natural peanut butter
1/4 coconut oil (essential for the fudge to stick together)
1/4 cup raw cacao powder
2 tbsp maple syrup or honey (more to taste, if needed)
A bit handful of crushed almonds


Start my mashing the avocados with a fork. Melt the chocolate and add it to the avocado. Mix it and then add the peanut butter, coconut oil, raw cacao powder and maple syrup. Mix it vigorously or use a hand blender if you have one. Once it’s nice and creamy, add the almonds and mix with a spoon.

Line a 8-inch baking dish with parchment paper and pour the mix in before putting in the freezer for at least an hour before serving it.

Store the leftovers in the freezer and allow it to warm up for a few minutes before eating.
